This policy explains what information FarmDesk collects, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. The short version: your farm records belong to you, only your farm team can see them, and we do not sell your data.
What we collect
Account details: your email address, your name, and your password (stored scrambled, never readable). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
Farm records you choose to enter: tasks, fields, animals, equipment, inventory, money, sales, buyers, payroll schedules, contacts and uploaded documents.
Marketplace and messages: listings you post, your farm's network profile if you choose to list it, and messages you send to farms, shoppers and businesses.
Plan details: which plan you have and its status. Card and bank details are handled by our payment provider; FarmDesk never sees or stores your full card number.
Who can see your information
Farm records are visible only to members of that farm, based on their role. For example, money and payroll records are limited to owners, managers and bookkeepers. These checks happen on our servers for every record.
Things you choose to share are visible to others: Marketplace listings can be seen by signed-in farms, businesses and shoppers; a network profile can be seen by other farms if you turn it on; messages are seen by the people you send them to.
Services that help us run FarmDesk
We use a small number of providers to host the site and database, process plan payments, send account emails, and draft listing text with AI when you ask for it. They only receive what they need to do that job.
When you use "Draft with AI", the notes you type are sent to an AI model to write the draft. Don't include private details you don't want processed.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information or farm records. We don't use advertising trackers or show ads.
Cookies and browser storage
FarmDesk uses only the browser storage needed to keep you signed in, remember which farm you picked, and remember which notifications you've seen. No advertising cookies.
How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and any farms where you are the only owner are permanently deleted. Messages you sent to other people may stay in their conversations.
Your choices
You can view and edit your records at any time, export each module to CSV, download all your farm data from your account page, and delete your account.
Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights, such as asking what data we hold about you. Contact us through the Help page to make a request.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and access is checked on our servers. No online service can promise perfect security, so use a strong, unique password.
Children
FarmDesk is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we will tell you in the app or by email.
